New Delhi: Police commemoration day is being observed in the country today. The parade was held at the Delhi police memorial on the occasion. It is being said that Union Home Minister Amit Shah paid homage to the martyrs and also addressed the parade. In his address, Amit Shah said, "The policemen who have sacrificed for the security of the country, because of their sacrifices, the country is moving towards development today."

In addition, he further spoke, "When the country celebrates its festival, the policemen are doing duty". In his address, Amit Shah also said, "This year, 260 policemen have given martyrdom, today the new generation is getting to know about the sacrifices of the police through the memorial. The role of police in the implementation of lockdown was the most important. 343 policemen have died due to corona crisis." In addition, he said, "the challenges for the police are continuously increasing, terrorism-fake currency-drugs-crime against women, many challenges are coming to the society, which is to be faced. Technology will soon be increased in the police sector. Now, since class XII, children will be briefed about safety."

In his further address, he said, "You take the country, the government will protect your family. Soon the police sector will see a number of major changes, which will be beneficial for all the force." Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also made a tweet and saluted the police personnel. "Today is the day to salute the policemen and their family members," he wrote in a tweet. We salute every martyr. The policemen are always engaged in the making of law and order and serving the countrymen, even in the Corona crisis.
