Hyderabad: A police constable was arrested on Friday for cheating and sexually abusing a woman. The arrested constable was placed at the City Armed Reserve headquarters.

LB Nagar Inspector V Ashok Reddy said the 27-year-old woman contacted her and filed a complaint against the constable. The accused soldier was identified as Aulgada Abilash Kumar Yadav.

Ashok Reddy said that both the accused and the victim are nagol residents. They met in the gym, and then they fell in love. After some time the soldier sexually harassed the victim and when she became pregnant, she went against the victim's consent and aborted her.

The inspector said that the accused had been sexually harassed several times on the victim, promising to marry. Based on the victim's complaint, the police have registered a case and arrested the accused soldier
