Damoh: A policeman on duty was stoned to death in Damoh, Madhya Pradesh. The incident took place in the Kasai Mandi area of Damoh town. There is a police post where SAF personnel are stationed. On Friday night, when the policeman was sitting in the outpost and eating food, some boys started creating a ruckus outside.
On hearing the noise, constable Surendra Singh, who was on duty, came out and asked the boys why they were making noise. Even after this, the boys did not agree and kept shouting. When the constable refused to do so, the boys started having an argument with him. The dispute escalated so much that a boy threw a stone on constable Surendra Singh's head. Hearing the soldier's screams, other policemen also came out. But by then the boys had fled.
The policemen saw that Surendra Singh was bleeding profusely from the head, so they rushed him to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead. After the death of the policeman, there has been a sensation in the area. SP DR Teniwar, on the other hand, said the matter was serious and the police were currently investigating it. Soon the culprits will be arrested. Also, considering the sensitivity of the matter, a police force has been deployed in the area. Several teams have also been formed to nab the culprits.
