A similar campaign was launched late Friday evening between police and miscreants in Chandasi Kotwan area of Sambalpur district. 2 crooks and one policeman were injured in the encounter.

Superintendent of Police, Yamuna Prasad said that Chandasi Kotwal was reported to have been robbed at Patua intersection on Kaithal Road. Thereafter, the miscreants on 2 bicycles have started firing at the police. He said, the constable Mohit Gautam and Rascal Bilal and Iram were injured. The injured have been sent to hospital for treatment. The police is investigating the case.
