Huzurabad: In view of reports by central intelligence agencies about possible clashes between ruling TRS and BJP groups on the eve of bypolls, the Election Commission has deployed state police, including 20 companies of central forces, as against three companies in the past. Police force has been deployed in all sensitive and sensitive areas of the constituency.
 
Officials said 11 check posts have been set up across the constituency and drone cameras are being used in sensitive areas. Officials said that the police have identified 56 villages where cases of murder, 307 cases of violence, etc. were reported during the last elections. All CCTV cameras have been attached to Karimnagar Police Headquarters. The Election Commission had deployed 20 companies of central forces. Officials said 421 EVM control units, 891 ballot units and 515 VVPATs were present.
 
At least 1,715 polling personnel will be on duty during the election. The commission will use two EVMs for voting due to 30 candidates. So far, unaccounted cash worth Rs 3.5 crore, liquor worth Rs 7 lakh, saris worth Rs 2 lakh and gold and silver jewelery worth Rs 10 lakh have been seized during the elections. The Election Commission reviewed the situation and appealed to voters not to get lured by money or liquor and to vote in a free and fair manner. There are 2,36,9465 voters in this constituency. Of these, 1,17,933 are male voters and 1,19,012 are female voters.
