Bhopal: The police in Madhya Pradesh's capital Bhopal have intensified their drive against the loud silencer. 280 motorcycles have been recovered. A challan of Rs.18 lakhs has been issued. In such cases, strict action is now being taken by the police.

In the same Bhopal, the police have come under fire on a motorcycle with a loud silencer. The police recovered 280 motorcycles in a week and challaned them to the tune of Rs 18 lakh. These motorcycles were caught due to regular checking. The rule states that the silencer's voice should not exceed 70 decibels. The motorcycles that have been recovered had their voices above this limit.  

According to the same report, Bhopal Police Commissioner Makrand Deuskar was receiving complaints related to the silencer's voice. Noise pollution was being spread around schools, colleges, and hospitals even after the instructions. In such a situation, the police have taken strict action and advised such amateurs. The sound of silencers of some of the recovered motorcycles is more than 100 decibels. The price of the motorcycles recovered is said to be from Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 5 lakh.
