Bollywood actor Alok Nath was caught up in the #metoo charges last year. In fact, a case was filed by TV screenwriter Vinita Nanda accusing him of raping her. But now the Mumbai Police is planning to close the case due to lack of evidence. The Mumbai Police can now file a closure report in the court for lack of evidence.
Nanda has given full details about the incident, though she has completely failed to disclose the date or month of the alleged crime. Actor Alok Nath could not get sufficient evidence in the case and the charge sheet could not be filed against the accused in the case. The Mumbai Police is now going to close the case.
Nanda alleges that she was raped 20 years ago and she said she was raped under the influence of alcohol by Alok Nath during the shooting of the popular TV serial 'Tara' in 1990. However, Alok Nath had also filed a defamation case against her in response to the charge. On the issue of work front, Alok Nath appeared in Ajay Devgan, Tabu and Rakul Preet Singh's film 'De De Pyaar De', which was released in May this year.
