The service record of the police is not maintained in MP. This mistake has not been made by the administration branch but is the result police staffs carelessness. They are not updating their family's necessary information in the service records. During the investigation of the administration branch, when it came to know that the service record of many police officers employees is incomplete, then the information has been sent to all police units.

ADG Anvesh Mangalam of the administrative branch has written to all police units of the state-related service records. After the death of some of the police personnel in the incident, it has come to notice that the first page of the service record is not important information like married employee's photo, nomination form, date of birth, current address, permanent home district etc. He further wrote in the letter that for this reason all officer employees and their families face problems in an untoward situation. Therefore a special campaign is being run. In this, the deficiencies in the service report will be updated within fifteen days.

MP has a police staff of about one and a half lakh. This includes from constable to IPS officer. The record of all these remains in the administration branch of the police officer. The administration branch maintains these records. Recently, there were some cases in which when his record was taken out due to irregularities with the police staff, it was incomplete. In such a situation, the family had to bother to take payment of their GPF and gratuity.
