Lucknow: UP police on Thursday seized 6 weapons from the house of Abbas Ansari, son of gangster Mukhtar Ansari. Apart from these weapons, police have also found 4432 cartridges. Abbas is alleged to have illegally purchased six weapons on a license. The police team reached Abbas's Delhi home on Thursday with a search warrant and during search, the police found these weapons, which have been confiscated by the police.

Apart from these weapons, police have also found several barrels and equipment during the search. After the raids, police have registered a case against Abbas under sections 420, 467, 468, 471 and 30 Arms Act. With this, the police is investigating from where and through whom these weapons have been procured. It is noteworthy that Mukhtar Ansari has been in jail since 2009, but his political clout has continued to grow. At the same time, speaking of Ansari's criminal cases, so far more than 49 cases have been filed against Mukhtar Ansari and many of his active gangs have also come forward, which he is said to be the kingpin. At the moment, the Special Court has refused to grant him bail in view of the seriousness of the offenses, along with the continuous crime and criminal tendency.
