Khargone: After the incident of stone-pelting on Ram Navami processions at Khargone and Barwani in Madhya Pradesh, the leave of all policemen in the state has been cancelled. Orders in this regard have been issued to all the cities by the Inspector General of Police, Law and Order and Security. In Khargone and Barwani, the administration took action to demolish 52 houses and shops of the rioters.
The law and order and security were issued by the Inspector General of Police of Madhya Pradesh to the Bhopal-Indore Police Commissioner, Superintendent of Police of all the districts, all the fighters Visbal and all the Railway Superintendents of Police on Monday. The order will include the upcoming festivals namely Dr Ambedkar Jayanti, Baisakhi, Mahavir Jayanti, Good Friday Day, Hanuman Jayanti, Easter Sunday, Jamatulbida, Parshuram Jayanti/Jayanti. Akshaya Tritiya/Tritiya In view of the communal harmony and the law and order situation at Eid ul-Fitr, police personnel have been asked not to give unnecessary leave.
All the officers and employees have been asked not to leave the headquarters during this period. As per the order issued by the Inspector General of Police, in case of unavoidable circumstances, the concerned Superintendent of Police/Superintendent of Police may, in case of need be. Zonal Inspector General of Police will be able to sanction leave for a limited period. Also, leave for senior officers can be sanctioned upon the approval of the Director-General of Police. On the festival of Ram Navami on Sunday, there was an incident of stone-pelting in the procession in Khargone and Barwani. Along with this, there was also arson in Khargone. Many people were injured in it. Curfew has been imposed in several areas of Khargone. Subsequently, the State Government has also initiated action by identifying the rioters.
