Lucknow: Political heat has intensified in uttar pradesh ahead of the scheduled assembly elections. State deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya launched a scathing attack on the Samajwadi Party (SP) during a business conference in Prayagraj on Friday (December 3, 2021). He said that before 2017, lungi print goons wearing fake hats used to collect goonda tax from traders in Uttar Pradesh, but now the situation has changed. With the change of government, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has rid the people of all this.

During the speech, Maurya took a dig at SP chief Akhilesh Yadav's statement that he had eliminated the BJP in the 2022 elections and said the BJP is running a cleanliness drive in the country. The SP is nowhere in the cleaning work. That is why the people are going to clean up all the opposition including the SP. He claimed that the number of seats won by the SP in 2017 will not be able to touch that figure. I am claiming that this time also the BJP is going to win more than 300 seats.

Speaking on law and order, the deputy CM said, "Before 2017, fake hats and lungi impressions used to harass goondas traders. They are now either eating the air of jail or out of UP. All traders in the BJP government are now safe. At the same time, Keshav Maurya has described the BJP and the business community as synonymous with each other. He said bjp and traders are no different from each other.
