BJP leaders are celebrating colorful holi by asking to people to sing a song Mera Rang De Basanti Chola, a song originally sung in film Shahid in 1965 and played again in The Legend Of Bhagat singh in 2002, here both movies based on Bhagat Singh’s life.

This will be part of three days campaign by the BJP leaders on Martyr Bhagat Singh taking on Congress MP Shashi Tharoor’s statement insulting Martyr by comparing him with JNU student Kanhaiya Kumar.

Unveiling the plan, BJP leader Prakash Javadekar said the party will observe Martyrs’ Day on Wednesday- Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru who those three were hanged by British on March 23,1931 which is followed by Holi celebration across India by singing song… Mera Rang De Basanti Chola the following day.

And the next day ‘Friday’ observed as Aakrosh Din means “Anger Day” by burning effigies of who insulted Martyr, said Javadekar. BJP party reportedly instructed all its state units to pursue the campaign aggressively.
