Patna: First phase of voting is going on today in Bihar assembly elections. In such a situation, voting has started from seven o'clock this morning and till now a long line of voters has appeared in 71 assembly seats in 16 districts. In fact, a total of 1066 candidates are in the fray for the first phase and over 2.14 crore voters are casting their votes.

At 7:20 AM, it was seen that Barhiya Union Minister of Lakhisarai Giriraj Singh arrived to vote. It is being told that in the morning there was some problem in the EVM, due to which the polling started late.

Voting has not started yet at Hashmi school polling station number 97A at 08:17 AM. Yes, there is a long line of voters here, but no reason has been given for not voting.
