The pollution of Delhi-NCR due to the blistering sun and strong winds is now coming down. Delhi residents opened their breath five days later on Saturday. The air quality in the entire area has gone from severe to extremely poor levels. It is estimated that it will improve rapidly in the next two days. On Monday, the wind has been forecast to be between poor and mediocre.

The Meteorological Department says that due to the effect of western disturbance from Saturday morning, the winds changed their movement. By the morning, its speed was above 20 km per hour. At the same time, the morning sun had blossomed as the sky cleared. Due to the mixed effect of both, the pollution of Delhi-NCR has started coming down. Since around noon, the pollution level of the entire NCR has come down to 400.

At the same time, the average of the last 24 hours in NCR cities including Delhi has been around 350. The quality of all cities declined by 75–100 points as compared to Friday. According to data released by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Delhi's air quality index was recorded at 357. While Ghaziabad has reached 347. Quality index of NCR's most polluted city Gurugram stood at 360 on Saturday.
