Recently, a case has come up from Badaun in Uttar Pradesh. A 50-year-old woman has been gang-raped here and after that, she was also murdered. After all this, many people are getting angry. Now the state government has formed STF and the main accused has also been arrested. In the meantime, some people have given conflicting statements, after which this case has been seen to deviate from its direction. Just yesterday, Chandramukhi, a member of the Women's Commission, gave such a statement that a fierce debate has started on her.
Respected @NCWIndia @sharmarekha Do you stand by this statement by your representative in context to the Badaun rape case. Kindly clarify if you agree with your representative that the victim was at fault for stepping out to visit a temple unaccompanied and at the time she did. https://t.co/45OosCgLu5

Chandramukhi, who arrived on behalf of the Women's Commission last month to take stock of the case, commented on the exit of the girls' house during a media interaction. She said, "If the woman did not go out in the evening, it probably would not have happened to her." She said in her statement- 'Women should not reach time-untimely under the influence of anyone. I think that if the woman had not left during the evening or if a family child was with her, then such an incident probably would not have happened'. As soon as this statement came from the member of the Women's Commission, many people got angry. Filmmaker Pooja Bhatt is in this list. She has also targeted the Women's Commission.
No I don't..I don't know how and why the member has said this but women have all the right move on their will whenever and wherever they want to. It's society and state's duty to make places safe for women. https://t.co/WlG2DWs20G

Filmmaker Pooja Bhatt has posed sharp questions to Women Commission Chairman Rekha Sharma through a tweet. She has written, “Rekha ji do you agree with this statement. Do you also feel that it was not right for the woman to come out to visit the temple at the wrong time. ”As soon as Rekha Sharma saw this tweet, she said- “No I don't..I don't know how and why the member has said this but women have all the right move on their will whenever and wherever they want to. It's society and state's duty to make places safe for women.' Pooja also appeared satisfied with Rekha Sharma's reply and hoped that justice will be done soon in this case as well. Now it has to be seen when justice will be done ...?
