Dehradun:  Congress president Rahul Gandhi Kick-started the campaign for the ensuing 2019 Lok by attacking PM Modi over demonetisation saying that the process wiped out the entire informal sector of the country.

Congress President said that BJP wants to create two India one of the rich another of the poor and the Congress will not let that happen. Reiterating the party promise of minimum income to every citizen, Rahul attacked the Modi government asserting that the BJP  has done nothing for the farmers and the youth.

During the rally, Gandhi  welcomed senior BJP leader Bhuwan Chandra Khanduri's son Manish Khanduri into the party saying that he would give strength to the party in the state. Taking a potshot over BC Khanduri's removal as the chairman fo the parliamentary standing committee on defence, Rahul said that BJP removed him for asking questions.

Gandhi also praised the the Congress government in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan, Congress scion said that his party governments waived of farm loans within days of winning elections whereas Modi who had promised two crore jobs to youth, Rs 15 lakh in every account didn't do anything.

 Rahul Gandhi also met the family of Major Chitresh Singh Bisht who lost his life on February 16 while defusing an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
