India has celebrated the 74th Independence Day on Saturday. More than seven decades have passed since India got independence. Yezdi Roadking : The year Yezdi bike sales started in India in the 1970s to 1973 and this motorcycle became very popular on seeing this. In India, the road-making model of Yezdi was quite popular, which was prepared between 1978 and 1996 at the Ideal Java Factory in Mysuru. Talking about the engine, this motorcycle was fitted with a 250 cc single-cylinder which was of 2-stroke. This engine generated maximum power of 16 Bhp and peak torque of 24 Nm. Let me tell you that Roadking was also very popular in India because it was based on the championship winning motocross motorcycle Jawa CZ 250 in the 1970s.
Royal Enfield Bullet : Today Royal Enfield has become a big name in India. Royal Enfield bikes are very much liked in all the countries of the world including India, but few of you will know that after 1947 one of the first bikes sold in the country was Royal Enfield Bullet. Essentially deployed to patrol the borders, the Bullet became a favorite of the Indian Army as this bike was not only extremely strong but also quite powerful. In 1955, Royal Enfield of UK and Madras Motors of India opened a factory together in Madras (Chennai). Even today Royal Enfield bikes have a tremendous craze in India and these bikes are very popular among the youth.
