Porsche has launched two cars, new Macon Midsize SUV and The Typhoon Electric Cross Tourismo/Sports Sedan in India. Macan is its best selling SUV in India and the new version has received updates on Exterior as well as interiors. The Macan range now has Macan, Macan S and Macan GTS with 195 kW (265 PS) turbocharged, a four-cylinder engine is part of the entry level model that goes up to Macan S powered by 2.9-litre V6 that will develop 280 kW (380 PS) with a time of 0-100 km/hr of 4.6 seconds.
The fastest version of Macan is GTS with a V6 2.9-litre but 324 kW (440 PS) of power and 272 km/h. Getting along with the top speed of the hour. The standard with new Macan is all-wheel-drive as well as speed, dual-clutch transmission (PDK). The exterior of the new Macan has also been changed with a new look, while it also has LED headlights with a Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS). Macan range starts at Rs 83.21 lakh but now has more standard equipment than the previous version.
Other big launches include the name of The Typhoon and The Tyson Cross Tourismo. The Tycoon will be the first electric Porsche with a range of 456 km from its 93.4 kWh battery. The tycoon is a sedan with a sporty look as standard, while the interior has no less than 4 screens, including 2 touch units and will be for a driver and for a passenger.
Standard features include air suspension, Bose audio system and much more. The more accessible tycoon is set to be launched with a 79.2kWh battery pack. Electric cars can also charge up to 80 percent in just 20 minutes while standard fast charging will do so in 1.5 hours. Cross Tourismo is a more SUV-like version with more ground clearance and suv-like styles. Performance is very fast, including the Turbo S model, which does 0-100 km/hr in just 2.9 seconds. Prices start at Rs 15,028,000.
