Panipat: Three youths were killed after they were hit by a passenger train while posing for a selfie on the railway tracks. The youths were crushed under the train near Panipat park in Chandigarh. The deceased, identified as Sunny, Chaman and Kishan, hailed from Uttar Pradesh's Aligarh and were relatives. Another person, Dinesh, had a narrow escape from death. Here it is to be noted Dinesh noticed the danger and jumped to safety after alerting the trio. In a panic, Sunny, Chaman and Kishan jumped to the left and were crushed under the train. The collision was so severe that their body parts strew across the 30 feet radius. A GRP officer told“As the train passed, Dinesh found them crushed on the track and fainted in shock,”
After the formal investigation and postmortem were completed on Tuesday, their mortal remains were handed over to their families. The GRP claimed that two cell phones were recovered from the spot while two others are still missing.
