Kolkata: The post-mortem report of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) activist Arjun Chaurasia in West Bengal has claimed that he died due to hanging. This postmortem has been done at Command Hospital in Kolkata. This report was submitted to the Kolkata High Court on Tuesday (May 10, 2022). According to the report, marks of hanging have been found on Arjun's neck.
Following the incident, the court had ordered post-mortem of the body at the Defense Medical Facility, Eastern Command Hospital. The report was presented in a sealed cover before a bench headed by Chief Justice Prakash Srivastava. It is noteworthy that the body of Arjun Chaurasia was found hanging inside a deserted building in Ghosh Bagan area located in Kashipur, Kolkata on Friday (May 6, 2022) morning. The BJP alleges that Arjun was murdered, and that the murder was done by the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC). An official, on condition of anonymity, told the media that it was unlikely that Arjun had a tussle with anyone before his death.
Arjun's body was found in Kolkata during Union Home Minister Amit Shah's two-day visit to West Bengal. The deceased Arjun was the Vice President of Bharatiya Janata Party Yuva Mandal Morcha. Amit Shah also met the relatives of Arjun Chaurasia, who was found dead during his two-day visit, at his Kashipur house. He also talked about getting a CBI inquiry into the matter. The Ministry of Home Affairs has sought a report from the Government of West Bengal in this matter.
