Delhi girl Prachi Tehlan is all set to step into Malayalam cinema with 'Mamangam' alongside South superstar Mammootty. The film is being produced for 2 years now and will hit the screens on December 12. Prachi wrote an essay in a high-budget drama with Mammootty with the female head, Unnimaya. During an interview, Prachi Tehlan opened up about how she is a die-hard fan of her co-star Mammootty. She said, “I have known Mammooka (Mammootty) for only 2 years and have become a fan of him. I haven't seen many of his blockbusters."

She further said, "But when we worked together and watched his films, I felt respect and love for co-stars and saw him as a human being from within, we were watching him closely. It was not an overnight thing for me to be his fan." Prachi praised the megastar. While she has not seen all of Mammootty's films, Prachi considers 'Peranbu' and 'Yatra' to be her favorites. Speaking about Mammootty's respect and care to everyone in the team, Prachi revealed that she wants her career to be like Mammootty's, and said "I want to be like Mammootty in terms of my career plans and goals. I want to do characters like him, get opportunities like him, want stardom like him to be the same person as him."

Directed by M Padmakumar, the historical film will portray Mammootty as the bravest warrior in the history of the Mamankam festival. Unni Mukundan and Achuthan will be seen essaying the warriors along with Mammootty. 'Mamangam' shot in Malayalam will also be dubbed and released in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. With a stellar cast and crew, the film is seen as the first film in Mollywood with a big budget.
