New Delhi: Delhi ranks among the most polluted cities in the world. The pollution of the city increases more during Diwali. Therefore, during this time an appeal is made not to burst firecrackers. The government is continuously taking steps to prevent pollution in Delhi-NCR. The result of the air quality index system that PM Modi had implemented in the year 2015 is now showing. Most of the pollution in Delhi NCR was caused by poisonous smoke emanating from vehicles, power plants and heavy vehicles.

Now all these are banned. The air quality of Delhi and NCR is also improving day by day. This information was given by Union Minister Prakash Javadekar during a press conference related to environment on Monday. Apart from this, he explained in detail about all the work done in this direction by the Modi government.  He said, "I'd say don't even use green firecrackers... I'm sure kids will tell parents and grandparents not to buy," he said, adding, "But if you must celebrate please use the green firecrackers".

Green firecrackers have been brought in to prevent the bursting of firecrackers. Meetings have been held with 200 such firecracker industries. They should also make green firecrackers. 145 such rules have been made. Awareness is being done. The Union Minister informed that this time 46 special teams have been formed in the CPCB team. They will monitor that during Diwali there is no way of pollution. If pollution is found in a state, then this team will take action.
