Shimla: The difficulties for the Congress, which has won the Himachal Pradesh elections with a majority, seem to be increasing. After winning the election, a war started in the Congress camp for the post of CM. State Congress unit chief and wife of former CM Virbhadra Singh Pratibha Singh has staked claim for the post of CM. On the other hand, according to the information received from the sources, the high command is not in favor of making Pratibha Singh the CM by removing her from the post of MP. Coming out after the closed-door meeting for the post of Chief Minister, Pratibha Singh said during a conversation with the media that she has put forth her point and now a decision will be taken on the name of the Chief Minister in the meeting of MLAs.

Pratibha Singh has said that there is no factionalism of any kind and who is saying that I am upset and may part ways with my MLAs. On the other hand, let us inform you that there has also been news of loud sloganeering by the supporters of Virbhadra Singh's family outside the Oberoi Hotel in Shimla. Supporters have raised slogans demanding Pratibha Singh to be made the CM. The supporters while talking to the media said that they want the Chief Minister's chair to remain with the Virbhadra Singh family and Pratibha Singh, whom they call Rani Sahiba. The Pratibha Singh camp says that they have the support of 25 MLAs.  

At the same time, Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, former chief of Himachal Pradesh Congress and chairman of the election campaign committee and CM's race contender, has not yet turned up for the meeting to be held at Congress Bhavan in Shimla. According to sources, he is accompanied by about 18 MLAs and before coming to the meeting, he wants concrete confirmation in his name from the high command.
