Ujjain: This time the festival of Maha Shivratri is on 11 March. On this occasion, if you want to have a glimpse of Ujjain Mahakal, do it quickly, because booking has started from today. This time only 25 thousand Mahakal devotees will get the benefit of darshan. For this, online pre-booking will have to be done. In view of the corona epidemic, the Mahakal temple committee has taken this decision, so that the crowd does not get crowded and the corona guidelines can be followed.

About 20 days ago, in the meeting of the Mahakal temple management committee, it was decided that about 1.50 lakh Mahakal devotees will be given entry into the temple on Maha Shivratri. The temple committee had also made preparations for this. But in view of the increasing number of corona patients in Madhya Pradesh, after the meeting of the Crisis Management in Bhopal, the committee had to change its decision and reduce the number of devotees from 1.50 lakh to 50,000.

On the Maha Shivaratri festival, for almost 29 hours continuously, the doors of the Mahakal temple are open to the devotees. The Collector of Ujjain, who is also the administrator of the Mahakal Temple Committee, told that the temple will be open from 5 am on the day of Maha Shivratri on March 11 to 10 on the 12th.
