Nowadays cases of crime are constantly increasing. One such case has come from Eta. A pregnant woman was shot dead in this case. Local police have registered a case in connection with the death of the woman and the case is under investigation.

According to sources, 25-year-old Mamata is said to be in a dispute due to water. The children of the victim had a quarrel with the children in the neighbourhood. The battle escalated to such an extent that even the big men had to intervene. Mamata came forward to protect her children and began to quarrel with Santosh. Santosh shot him in the chest after getting angry. Mamata was pregnant at that time. The incident took place at around 5.30 pm on Wednesday evening.

While the culprit fled from the spot, neighbours informed the police officers about the incident. A team of officials including Station House Officer (SHO) Pankaj Mishra and Circle Officer (CO) Ajay Bhaduria reached the spot and rushed the victim to a nearby health centre where he was declared dead. Police have registered a case against the accused under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the case is under investigation.
