Seoul's subway operator announced on Friday that brand new trains with larger seats for pregnant women and free mobile phone chargers will be introduced later this month.

Seoul Metro, the operator of the enormous subway system in the South Korean city, will begin operating five new trains on Line 5 this month, comprising 40 passenger cars, and will add 20 more trains by the end of the year, according to authorities reported by media.

For the first time in Seoul subways, the new trains are quieter and include wireless phone chargers. Eight chargers will be put in each of the train's four-passenger cars, two in the centre and two with designated wheelchair spaces.  Seoul's subway operator announced on Friday that brand new trains with larger seats for pregnant women and free mobile phone chargers will be introduced later this month.
