On Monday morning, Bollywood star Preity Zinta lightened up our Instagram page. She posted photos of her children, Jai Zinta Goodenough and Gia Zinta Goodenough, after their'mundan ceremony.' The ceremony is a traditional Hindu ritual in which the baby's hair is shaved for the first time. Preity shared the gorgeous photographs on Instagram, along with a touching note.

Jai and Gia can be seen in the photos sitting on a carpeted floor with their backs turned and playing. Gia is dressed in a pale blue gown, while Jai is clad in a grey T-shirt and turquoise shorts. Preity's living room appears to be the setting for the photos.

In her post, Preity highlighted the significance of the mundan rite, adding that for Hindus, shaving off a baby's hair is regarded a cleansing gesture, symbolising the child's independence from previous lifetimes. "So the Mundan ceremony finally happened this weekend," she wrote, delighted. "Here are Jai and Gia after their mundan ceremony," with a red heart emoji. Preity also used the hashtags #tradition, #mundanceremony, and her own hashtag #ting. Bobby Deol, a Bollywood actor, responded to the tweet with a slew of red heart emojis.

Preity, who often posts photos of her life on Instagram, has lived in Los Angeles since her marriage to husband Gene Goodenough. The couple got married on February 29, 2016, in Los Angeles, and will have twins via surrogacy in 2021. In a social media post announcing the arrival of their children, Preity expressed her excitement and appreciation. She saying, "Hi everyone, I wanted to share our amazing news with all of you today. Gene and I are overjoyed and our hearts are filled with so much gratitude and love as we welcome our twins Jai Zinta Goodenough and Gia Zinta Goodenough into our family."
