Abu Dhabi: In the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020), teams of Mumbai Indians, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals have secured a place in the playoffs. The first match of the Qualifier One is to be played on Thursday between MI and DC. The teams of RCB and SRH will compete in the second eliminator.
Kings XI Punjab (KXIP), which struggled for the playoffs for a long time, could have made it to the playoffs if they had managed to win the last match. The team's owner and Bollywood actress Preity Zinta wrote a special message on Twitter after Punjab was eliminated from the playoffs. She shared her picture of the team on Twitter and wrote in the caption that the time has come to say goodbye to the IPL and the UAE. This season has not been what we expected, but we will come back next year by becoming better and stronger.
Preity further wrote, 'We got many exciting encounters, heart-stopping and memorable moments here. This journey was not that long. I want to thank the fans of Kings XI Punjab who stood by us during all the difficult times. All of you guys are fantastic and are very important to us.' Punjab team lose 6 out of the first 7 matches and the team was on the verge of being out.
