Preparations for India Industry 4.0 begin, smart manufacturing competition centre launched in Ahmedabad

New Delhi: In a bid to accelerate the adoption of smart manufacturing solutions in India, the Centre of Excellence of the Ministry of Electronics and IT- IOT & AI and DST (Department of Science and Technology) of gujarat government in collaboration with NASSCOM have recently launched the world's first Smart Manufacturing Competitiveness Centre (SMCC) in Ahmedabad. It was launched by The Union Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Electronics and Information Technology Rajiv Chandrasekhar. This information has been provided through the indigenous micro-blogging platform, the Koo app.

The Ministry of Electronics and IT, through its official Koo handle, has said, "Hon'ble @rajeev_chandrasekhar inaugurated the Smart Manufacturing Competitiveness Centre (SMCC) in #Ahmedabad, which has been developed by the #Gujarat Government's Centre of Excellence - IoT & AI, @MeitY & DST, Government in collaboration with @NASSCOM. ' 

 

At the same time, Digital India wrote, "Hon'ble MoS @Rajiv_GoI inaugurated the Smart Manufacturing Competitiveness Centre (SMCC) in #Ahmedabad, which has been developed by the #Gujarat Government's Centre of Excellence -IoT & AI, @GoI_MeitY & DST, Government in collaboration with @nasscom. '

 

The National Informatics Centre (NIC) posted a coo and wrote, "Hon'ble Union Minister @rajeev_chandrasekhar, arrived at Ahmedabad Airport for his 3-day official visit to Gujarat. Shri P.K. Singh, SIO, NIC Gujarat welcomed the Hon'ble Minister and presented the NIC Gujarat State Profile Presentation on ICT solutions being developed and taken up across the State. '

 

The centre will help create a collaborative ecosystem, which will bring solution seekers and providers together under one virtual roof and give them the opportunity to understand manufacturing challenges. SMCC will help accelerate the adoption of Industry 4.0 solutions by bringing together enterprises, government, researchers and innovators to generate awareness and opportunities for the network to adopt technology. Manufacturers will be able to experience large tech ventures and start-ups, demos of networks and success stories and will be able to meet top solution providers to deliver solutions using emerging technologies such as IoT, Data Analytics, AI and AR/VR.
