President addresses both the Houses at the commencement of Budget Session 2018

New Delhi [India], Jan. 29 (NT): The Budget session of the Parliament has started on Monday at 11 am with the address of President Ram Nath Kovind.

President Kovind'sppech is a joint sitting of the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha has observed the commencement of the Budget Session 2018.

In his sppech, President Kovind urged all political parties to pass the The Muslim Women's (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Bill as saying

“I hope the TripleTalaqBill will be passed soon so that Muslim women can live a life of dignity and without fear” said President Kovind

President recalled universal brotherhood as saying “The 10 ASEAN leaders as guests on our Republic Day reflects India's philosophy of 'vasudhaiva kutumbakam' said President Kovind

On focusing education policies President explained “Education gives the foundation for building the future of a nation and my govt is committed to strengthen and modernize school and higher education system” said President Kovind .

The Muslim Women's (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Bill, 2017 linked to triple talaq, the Codes of Wages Bill, 2017, Rights of Children to Free and Compulsory Education, 2017 are among the imperative bills that will have focus for discussion and passage.
