United States: US President Joe Biden has said that Vice President Kamala Harris would be his running mate if he stood for office again in 2024. On Wednesday, President Biden made this forceful statement in the wake of allegations in the US media alleging disorder among her team and casting doubt on her standing inside the government.

Harris, 57, is the first woman, and the first Black and Asian American, to be sworn in as Vice President of the United States. Harris was born in the city of Oakland, California. Her mother, Shyamala Gopalan, emigrated to the United States from Tamil Nadu, and her father, Donald J Harris, from Jamaica.

Biden responded directly to a reporter's question about whether he was satisfied with Harris' performance leading the White House's voting rights initiative and whether he will commit to getting her back on the ticket. "Yes and yes," he replied during a White House press conference to commemorate his first year in office.

"She'll be my number one jogging partner." Second, I did delegate authority to her. "I believe she is doing an excellent job." Biden's comments came after Harris recently dismissed a query about whether she will be on the Democratic Party's ticket in 2024 during an interview with NBC.
