President Joe Biden will participate in the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York City from September 23 to 25. During this period, he will deliver a speech on September 24, where he is expected to discuss his administration's priorities. His address will highlight the importance of international cooperation, economic development, and the protection of human rights.

In addition to his speech, President Biden will hold meetings with various world leaders to address global security issues and common objectives. These discussions will cover a wide range of subjects including international peace, global economic stability, and human rights.

This visit follows President Biden's announcement of the upcoming fourth in-person Quad Leaders' Summit, scheduled for September 21 in Wilmington, Delaware. This summit will bring together leaders from Australia, India, and Japan to strengthen strategic cooperation within the Quad partnership. The Quad, which includes Australia, India, Japan, and the United States, focuses on promoting a free and open Indo-Pacific region while addressing issues such as health security, maritime security, and climate change.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre emphasized the significance of this summit, noting that it will be President Biden's first time hosting foreign leaders in Wilmington. She stated, "This will be President Biden's first time hosting foreign leaders in Wilmington as president—a reflection of his deep personal relationships with each of the Quad Leaders and the importance of the Quad to all of our countries."

The upcoming summit underscores the Biden-Harris Administration's dedication to the Quad partnership, following previous meetings at the White House and annual gatherings. The next Quad Summit will be hosted by India, aiming to further align the Quad nations' strategies and address critical regional and global issues.
