Indore City: President Droupadi Murmu is set to visit the city on Wednesday to participate in the India Smart Cities Conclave 2023. During her visit, she will present 66 awards to the winners of the fourth edition of ISAC2022. These awards will be distributed to five states, union territories, 31 cities, and 7 partner organizations.

In anticipation of President Droupadi Murmu's visit, several traffic diversions have been implemented. Starting at 8 AM and continuing until the conclusion of the event, traffic on the roads along the President's route to the Brilliant Convention Centre will either be redirected or restricted. Commuters are advised to avoid these routes and follow the diversion paths.

The following areas will be designated as No-vehicle Zones: Bapat Square to Nyay Nagar, SICA School, Robot Square, and Sai Mandir T. The route from Restaurant Square to BCC will be restricted exclusively for those attending the event.

Here are the diverted routes:

Vehicles bound for the airport via Super Corridor will be redirected to 60 Feet Road, passing through Aerodrome Police Station, Kalani Nagar, Wireless Square, Marimata Square, Shivalaya, and Bhandari Square.
Vehicles traveling from Ujjain to MR 10 and Super Corridor will be diverted via Banganga and Marimata Square.
Vehicles moving from Daisy Dales Square to CA School Square and from Ana Convent School to the Pollution Office Tri-section will be rerouted to Mahindra Showroom via Naya Marg and Panchmukhi Hanuman Mandir from Scheme No. 136.
Vehicles headed to Dewas Naka and AB Road from Niranjanpur will follow the diversion path.
Heavy Vehicles will follow these diverted routes:

Vehicles en route from Ujjain to Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan will be redirected to Sanwer Barlai via Kshipra.
Vehicles going from Dewas Naka to Luvkush Square will be diverted via Mangliya Toll, passing through Lasudia Police Station and Mangliya Petrol Pump.
Vehicles arriving from Kanadiya Labhganga and Star Square will be rerouted to Mangliya Toll via Lasudia Police Station and Mangliya Petrol Pump.
Vehicles traveling from Hatod and Depalpur to Ujjain and Dewas will be redirected through Navdapanth, Chandan Nagar, Phooti Kothi, Reti Mandi Railway Crossing, Choithram, and IT Park.
Vehicles coming from Betma and Dhar will be diverted to Rau Circle via Pithampur, while those going from Betma and Dhar to Ujjain will be redirected to Depalpur and Barnagar.
It's important to note that vehicles engaged in emergency services, such as ambulances, fire brigades, and police vehicles, will not face any restrictions.

Furthermore, the use of drones, UAVs, and other flying objects within a 3-kilometer radius of the airport and along the President's route to the Brilliant Convention Centre will be strictly prohibited until September 28, as per the commissioner of police's order.

To ensure President Murmu's security, approximately 1,500 policemen and 500 other officials will be deployed, with three DIGs and ten IPS officers being called in from other cities. Extensive security checks are being conducted throughout the city in preparation for the visit.
