President Kovind accepts credentials from 5 Ambassadors/High Commissioners

New Delhi: At the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Wednesday, President Ram Nath Kovind accepted credentials from Ambassadors/High Commissioners of Algeria, Malawi, Canada, Indonesia, and Russia.

Ambassadors Abderrahmane Benguerrah of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, Ina Hagniningtyas Krisnamurthi of the Republic of Indonesia, and Denis Evgenyevich Alipov of the Russian Federation, and High Commissioners Leonard Senza Mengezi of the Republic of Malawi and Cameron Dean MacKay of Canada, presented their credentials, according to a press release from the Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Following the presentation of credentials, the President met with each of the five envoys individually.

He congratulated them on their appointments and emphasised India's strong and friendly connections with these countries, as well as their multidimensional relationship. The President also wished them well in their efforts to deepen bilateral connections, and for their own well-being, as well as the advancement and prosperity of the friendly people.

The President also expressed his personal greetings to their leaders through the Ambassadors and High Commissioners. According to the Rashtrapati Bhavan announcement, the envoys present at the occasion reaffirmed their resolve to work closely together to improve their ties with India.
