President Pranab Mukherjee's Iftar party skipped by BJP minister

New Delhi: President Pranab Mukherjee has hosted the iftar party at Rashtrapati Bhavan in which ministers from the Union Cabinet were missing. This was Pranab Mukherjee's last Iftaar party before he demits office.

According to the sources, "Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Naqvi could not attend the iftar party because of a hurriedly called meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs."

Well, after becoming the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has been away from the parties. Although ministers like Rajnath Singh and Arun Jaitley have previously been present at the yearly get-together. But no central minister or representative of the government has attended the party. While on behalf of the opposition, Congress President Sonia Gandhi.
