President Ram Nath Kovind inaugurates 72nd TB Seal Campaign of TB of India

President Ram Nath Kovind inaugurated the 72nd Tuberculosis Seal Campaign of the TB Association of India here at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Saturday, October 2. The message was tweeted by President Ram Nath Kovind himself.

According to the tweet, 'The 71st TB Campaign of Tuberculosis Association of India was launched by President Ram Nath Kovind at Rashtrapati Bhavan.' This campaign has been started with a view to eliminating tuberculosis in the country by 2025. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given high priority to eliminate TB in the country by 2025.

It is worth noting that earlier, Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan had last month announced that India has significantly reduced the number of missing Tuberculosis patients from one million in 2016 to less than 0.5 million in 2019, with 2.4 million cases notified during the year.
