Patna: President Ram Nath Kovind arrived in Patna on Wednesday on a 3-day visit during which he is scheduled to attend a number of functions, besides refreshing memories of the city where he had spent nearly two years as the Governor of Bihar. Governor Fagu Chauhan and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar received the President at Patna Airport.  Many leaders were present at Patna airport to welcome the President. From the airport, the President went straight to the Raj Bhavan. He will also attend the High-T along with the judges of Patna High Court held at Raj Bhavan on Wednesday evening.  He will leave for Delhi from Patna on 22 October.

 According to the Bihar Vidhan Sabha Secretariat, President Ram Nath  Kovind will on Thursday address a function organized on the occasion of the centenary of the historic building that houses the legislature. The state assembly speaker said a dinner has been organized in honour of the President on Thursday evening, where various dignitaries of the state have been invited.

On October 21, the President will be the chief guest at the centenary celebrations of the Bihar Legislative Assembly. The President will also plant Bodhi trees in the assembly complex and will also lay the foundation stone of the centenary year pillar. After this, in the evening, President Ram Nath Kovind will also attend the dinner party organized at the residence of the Speaker of the Bihar Legislative Assembly.
