New Delhi: The second phase of corona vaccination has begun in the country and in this episode, President Ram Nath Kovind today administered the first dose of vaccine at Army Research and Referral Hospital. The second phase was started by PM Modi by getting the vaccine. After getting the vaccine, President Kovind said that the world's largest vaccination campaign in India is a matter of great pride.

The President said that both vaccines are produced with indigenous technology. Of these, covaxin is completely indigenous. The first dose of the corona vaccine was given to President Kovind under a provision in force in the country, according to which, people over the age of 60 and 45 years of age with severe illness can get the Corona vaccine. All the people falling under the above age limit can get free corona vaccine by going to government hospitals.

Apart from this, people will have to pay a fee of Rs 250 for this in private hospitals. Taking advantage of this provision, many leaders including PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, and Health Minister Harsh Vardhan have already got vaccinated. Apart from this, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, and Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad have also got the corona vaccine installed.
