Ujjain: President Ram Nath Kovind arrived in Ujjain by helicopter on Sunday morning. He was received at the helipad by Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and other public representatives and officials. From here, the President arrived at Kalidasa Academy. The 59th session of the All India Ayurveda Mahasammelan was inaugurated by lighting a lamp at Pandit Suryanarayan Vyas Sankul here.

In his address, President Kovind said that Ujjain is a city which has an ancient history. I also have a lot of memories associated with it. I stayed here for a long time several years ago. I know the streets here. India is a country of villages and the oldest system of medicine among them is Ayurveda even today. Referring to the Vibhutis related to Ujjain, he said that it is the city of Emperor Vikramaditya and Mahakavi Kalidasa. I bow to this land again and again. Hopefully, the results of the Ayurveda conference will prove fruitful for the country and the world. With the invaluable heritage of Indian culture, many personalities have contributed in popularizing this institution. All the people should try to make Madhya Pradesh an established centre of Ayurveda. Ayurveda means the science of the age. It also lays emphasis on health protection as well as the prevention of disease.

The President said that today is a time for quality, research and research. We have many challenges before us. I hope everyone will accept it together and make progress. Diet, routine and seasonality are mentioned only in Ayurveda. People of this area are expected to increase the awareness about Ayurveda among the public. Prepare people who can contribute to treatment. Research to treat people continued unabated. The ultimate goal of a happy life is unbelievable health, it should be kept supreme. The message of the Ayush Minister was also broadcast in the programme. Ayurveda experts were felicitated at the event. The President also inaugurated the new building of the Government Ayurvedic College.
