Washington [U.S.A.], Apr. 10 (NT): United States President Donald Trump on Monday asserted that the meeting with North Korea Supweremo Kim Jong-un will be held in May or early June and said the conclave will be an "exciting thing for the world".

The statement came a day after Trump's administration announced that North Korea has confirmed that it was willing to discuss denuclearisation with them.

"We have a meeting that is being set up with North Korea, so that will be very exciting, I think, for the world. I think it's going to be a very exciting thing for the world," The New York Times quoted PresidentTrump as saying.

President Trump made this statement when he was addressing reporters at the commencement of a cabinet meeting at the White House.

in anticipation of three weeks ago, vagueness hang around over the first-ever meeting between Trump, who had poked fun at his counterpart as "Little Rocket Man", and Kim, who had been threatening to give a free rein to a nuclear war on the US, as Washington was yet to hear directly from Pyongyang on the invitation extended by Kim via South Korean intermediaries.
