Washington D.C. [USA], May 5 (NT): Once  again Mass Shooting in US discussed as United States President Donald Trump on Friday assured the members of National Rifle Association (NRA), an organization  which advocating for gun rights, that he would not violet their rights.

In his unusual address at the annual NRA convention of the members, Trump was quoted by CNN as asserting, "Thanks to your activism and dedication, you have an administration fighting to protect your Second Amendment and we will protect your Second Amendment."

The Second Amendment of the US Constitution states that the "right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed."

Mentioning to the nation-wide protest in opposition to the existing gun laws, Trump asserted, "Your Second Amendment rights are under siege, but they will never ever be under siege as long as I am your president."

This development comes after increased cases of mass shootings in the nation, mainly the high school shooting in Parkland, Florida that taken lives of 17 people.

At the conference, Trump restated his stand in "allowing highly trained teachers to carry concealed weapons."

"They love their students. And they're not going to let anybody hurt their students. But you have to give them a chance," Trump added.

Trump also stroked on the current immigration laws, remarking that these laws were "written by people that truly could not love our country." (NT)
