Washington D.C. [U.S.A.], July 26 (NT): United States President Donald Trump taking to micro blogging website Twitter has shared a picture of him with European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker after a joint press meet, where both joined hands to get rid of tariffs.

President Trump and Juncker can be seen sharing a hug in the posted pictures. Pics also show President of the European Commission kissing the US President's cheek.

"Obviously the European Union, as represented by @JunckerEU and the United States, as represented by yours truly, love each other!" Trump captioned the photo on Twitter.

President Trump shared the photo soon after the two leaders addressed a joint statement on Wednesday. In the statements they announced that they have reached a deal to start resolving a difference of opinion over tariffs and keep away from a trade war.

President Trump dubbed the meeting a 'very big day for free and fair trade'.

The meeting turned out to be productive since the removal of tariffs would decrease the growing stress between EU and the USA.

"European Union representatives told me that they would start buying soybeans from our great farmers immediately. Also, they will be buying vast amounts of LNG!",  Trump said, in another tweet.

Earlier this year, the Trump administration imposed tariffs on steel and aluminium imports from a number of U.S. allies, including the EU.
