New Delhi [India], Jan 4 (NT): Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to embrace a meeting with top economists of the nation on January 10.

This conference is a natural practice before the budget and was carried out in 2017 as well.

PM Modi had also called for a similar conference in December 2017, where the impact of demonetization was talked about.

Union Budget 2018-19, which will be the final budget for Prime Minister Modi-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) system before the 2019 general polls. This budget will be presented on February 1.

Prime Minister Modi will take the chair for the meet up of over 30 well-known economists.

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley; CEO, NITI Aayog, Amitabh Kant; Vice Chairman, NITI Aayog, Rajiv Kumar; chairman, Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister, Bibek Debroy, and other members of the Economic Advisory Council will also attend this meet.

Amitabh Kant and Rajiv Kumar are also likely to present a detailed presentation to the Prime Minister about the work completed by the NITI Aayog.
