Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a three-day visit to Russia and has arrived in Vladivostok under it. On reaching Vladivostok, the Indian PM has been given a guard of honor. PM Modi has been invited as the chief guest at the meeting of the Fifth Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) by Russian President Vladimir Putin. Along with the EEF meeting, Modi and Putin are also to discuss several important issues.

Speaking to Russian news agency PM Modi said that EEF is not just for discussing issues. We were preparing this forum for 6 months and for this, a large delegation from far eastern areas of Russia came to meet us. The Chief Ministers of our states, ministers and businessmen of the Central Government visited the far eastern areas of Russia. I am confident that this tour will bring new energy between India and Russia and our relationship will also get stronger.

Further, PM Modi said that the relationship between India and Russia has gone far beyond the military and technical cooperation. So we are very close friends and due to being close friends, we are thinking what can we do for the betterment of each other in the future? New relations are also being formed between the two countries in information technology and space science.
