Prime Minister Narendra Modi is addressing the nation today as part of the 82nd edition of his monthly radio programme 'Mann Ki Baat.' He started his address by talking about health workers. He said, "I am well aware of the capabilities of my country and the people of our country. I know that health workers will leave no stone unturned in the vaccination of the countrymen.''

At the same time, he said, "It is the responsibility of all of us to engage in some activity that conveys the message of unity. Sardar Saheb used to say that it is only through our united enterprise that we can take the country to new great heights. If we are not united, we will implicate ourselves in new calamities. That is, if there is national unity, there is height, there is development. Our freedom movement is the biggest example of this.'' He further said, "United Nations Day is celebrated on 24th October. It was on this day that the UN was formed. India had signed the UN Charter before independence. India's Nari Shakti has played a major role in enhancing the influence and power of the United Nations. In 1947-48, when the Universal Declaration of UN Human Rights was being prepared. So it was being written in that declaration that all men are created equals. But a delegation from India objected to it. It was then written as all humans are created equal.''

At the same time, he said, "India has always worked for world peace. It is seen in our contribution to the UN peacekeeping force. India is also working to make traditional methods of yoga and health more popular. India will play an important role in making our planet a better place. India's contribution to making a land a better and safer planet is a great inspiration for the world. We are proud that India has been a part of the UN Peacekeeping Mission continuously since the 1950s. India is also playing a leading role in poverty alleviation, climate change and addressing labour-related issues.''

He further said, "India is one of the first countries in the world to produce digital land records in its village with the help of drones. India is working very extensively on using drones for transportation. Whether it is farming in the village or delivery of household items. Help in emergency or monitor law and order. We have to be a leading country in drone technology. For this, the Government is taking all possible steps.''
