Lawmakers Campaigning gathered rate of knots in poll-bound northeastern states with the BJP kicking off its campaign in Nagaland and Congress leaders from many states reaching Meghalaya for Pre-Poll-campaigning.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address two election rallies in Tripura on Thursday 2 PM.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in south Tripura taking his party's call of 'Chalo paltai' to the voters.

He is all set to poll-campaign from Sonamura subdivision which also covers the constituency of Chief Minister Manik Sarkar in Dhanpur.

PM will address the second rally of the day in Kailashahar.

A day before Assam CM Sarbananda Sonowal - a star campaigner for the BJP, got an zealous rejoinder as he campaigned in Teliamura.

All political players are putting efforts in the election pitches of the three northeast states as polling dates are closer.

Nagaland and Meghalaya will witness polling on February 27 while Tripura is voting on 18 February.

Thursday will see Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Tripura's Santir Bazar and Agartala.

Meanwhile, electioneering in Nagaland has also been gathering pace to attract voters. The recently formed NDPP-BJP coalition has also officially started its campaign.

Representing the BJP was its leader and Union Minister of State Home Kiren Rijiju and for NDPP it was the coalition's Chief Ministerial face, Neiphu Rio.
