New Delhi: The foundation stone of Asia's largest Noida International Airport is scheduled to be laid on November 25. PM Narendra Modi and CM Yogi Adityanath are scheduled to lay the foundation stone of the Rs 29500 crore project at Jewar. This has been agreed to by the PMO. The official letter of the programme will also be removed soon. The district administration and authorities are gearing up for a grand event.
Among the major schemes of the PM and CM, the airport, which will be built in a public private partnership model, is to be built by Swiss company Zurich International Airport AG. In the first phase of the airport, 1334 hectares will be worked out. The first phase will be started with a runway. The land has been handed over to the construction company. The company has also started levelling and boundary wall work on airport land. The district administration has acquired land in six villages for the first phase. These include Ranhera, Rohi, Parohi, Dayanatpur, Kishorepur and Banwariwas villages. Land acquisition has been done under the new law.
