According to the information received in this case, the accused prisoner has disclosed about this. He told that Mehtab had raped his sister and his sister had committed suicide due to this. After the death of his sister, he wanted to take revenge from Mehtab.

Talking about the matter, police officials said, "Mehtab, a resident of Nizamuddin, was killed in Tihar Jail No.8 on the morning of June 29 with a sharp weapon." He also told, 'Zakir, a resident of Dakshinpuri, was murdered in the same prison. Zakir was caught by chance. In the interrogation in this case, Zakir told the police that in the year 2014, Mehtab had abducted his minor sister and raped her. In the year 2018, Zakir was arrested by Jaitpuri police station in a murder case and sent to Tihar Jail. He was then lodged in Tihar Jail number five.

He used to quarrel with other inmates in this jail and after that, he himself expressed his desire to go to another jail. From there, he was sent to Tihar Jail no. 8. According to police, he was in a barrack on the ground floor, while Mehtab lived in a barrack on the first floor. Seeing Mehtab in such a situation, he was determined to take revenge on him in prison and sharpened the vessel and made a sharp weapon and on the morning of June 29, while the prisoners were coming down during the prayer, he sought Mehtab and attacked him and retaliated.
