Lucknow: Private and government schools and colleges are closed during the lockdown issued due to the deadly coronavirus infection that is spreading rapidly in Uttar Pradesh. In such a situation, Preeti Verma, a member of the State Child Rights Protection Commission, has requested private schools to waive their fees for three months.

Verma has appealed to all the private schools in the state, saying that "At present, the whole world is going through an epidemic. People are facing problems of livelihood.
