Pune: Reports of hospitals are coming day in and day out amid corona infection. As per the information received recently, pune district health department has ordered an inquiry into the case of non-payment of body of a corona virus infected in case of alleged non-payment of bill. In fact, the case is of a medical college hospital in Talegaon Dabhade. An inquiry has been ordered against him last Monday. The district administration has constituted an eight-member committee to look into the complaint against the hospital in the case.

This is said to include district health department officials, a doctor from BJ Medical College and Sasun General Hospital, an officer of food and drug administration, district health officer and district civil surgeon. On the other hand, district civil surgeon Ashok Nandapurkar said, "A complaint has been received from Shiv Sena Lok Sabha member Srirang Barne from Mawal that the hospital management allegedly held the body of a covid-19 victim for three days for not paying the bills".

At the same time, he added, "The eight-member committee will visit the hospital on Tuesday to investigate the complaint. A poor patient from Mawal had died of corona virus infection recently and despite payment of medical bill through Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Jan Arogya Yojana, the hospital management sought more money from the kin of the deceased. ''
